LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's outdoor track & field team had three individual event winners at the Eagle Open hosted by UW-La Crosse on Friday.
ResultsAna Breit (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Pacelli) won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:32.97. The time was a personal best for the senior from Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
Sophomore
Jacklyn Butler (Oshkosh, WI/West) won the 400-meter hurdles with a personal record time of 1:02.29. Butler was the runner-up in the event at the conference championships last weekend.
Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) won the discus throw with a toss of 45.75 meters (150'1"), which was enough to win by over five feet. The junior also placed third in the hammer throw (56.23m, 184'6") and fourth in the shot put (12.98m, 42'7").
The 4x400-meter relay of Butler,
Megan School (Wittenberg, WI/Wittenberg-Birnamwood), Abigail Clement, and
Kathy Derks (Greenville, WI/Hortonville) placed third with a time of 3:56.18.
Lauren Dilley (Middleton, WI/Middleton) finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:36.01. The time was a personal best for the senior from Middleton, Wis.
The Pointers head to Naperville, Ill. on Friday, May 15 for the Gregory Invitational.
