CANTON, N.Y. –
Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown) and
Michael Evans (Reedsville, WI/Valders) each earned All-American honors with fifth-place finishes on the final day of the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday at Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex.
Results Williams gathered All-American accolades in the triple jump, placing fifth with a jump of 14.86 meters (48' 9"). The distance was a personal-best for the sophomore, who was an All-American for the second time in the event after finishing third indoors this season.
In the finals of the 800-meter run, Evans was fifth, finishing in 1:53.36. The individual All-American honor was the first for the sophomore, who was part of UWSP's All-American indoor distance medley relay this season.
Williams and Evans each earned four points for UW-Stevens Point in the team standings, as the Pointers finished tied for 33rd.
