Jordan Richards (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) took home the top spot in the long jump as the UW-Stevens Point men's track & field team collected 68 points to finish third at the 2015 WIAC Tri, hosted by UW-Whitewater.
ResultsRichards posted a first place finish in the long jump, clearing 7.02 meters (23' 0.5"), a new career-best by seven inches.
Logan Heil (Weston, WI/DC Everest) finished as the runner-up in the weight throw with his toss of 16.49 meters (54' 1.25"), a career-best throw.
Sheldon Harn (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) posted a career-best time of 7.83 in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, finishing fourth.
Takuto Kobayashi (Franklin, WI/Franklin) led a trio of Pointers to finish 3-4-5 in the 400-meter run. Kobayashi finished with a time of 51.11, a career mark.
Bryon Andrews posted a runner-up finish in the high jump, clearing 1.97 meters (6' 5.5").
Micky Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 15.47 meters (50' 9.25").
The Pointers return to action back at home on Saturday, Feb. 21, hosting the Pointers Big Dawg Invite at the Multi Activity Center.
