STEVENS POINT, Wis. –
Cara Lemirande (Janesville, WI/Craig) scored at 2:46 of overtime to give the No. 10 UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team a 5-4 win and a weekend sweep of Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday afternoon at Ice Hawks Arena.

Rachel Reynard (Hortonville, WI/Hortonville) on the power play for UW-Stevens Point (4-0-0), which won its fourth consecutive one-goal game and third-straight contest by a 5-4 score. The Pointers improve to 10-0-1 all-time against Concordia-Moorhead (0-2-0).
With time winding down and up a goal, the Pointers were on the verge of winning the game in regulation. However, Concordia-Moorhead's Anna Westmark found the back of the net as the puck slipped through Pointers' goalie,
Sydney Conley (South St. Paul, MN/South St. Paul), pads to tie the game with no time remaining to send the game to overtime.
A day after the two teams combined for 17 penalties, the Pointers and Cobbers combined for 16 in the game. UWSP made the most of its power-play opportunities going 3-for-7, while Concordia Moorhead went 1-for-7.
The first goal of the first period was on a power-play by
Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial), assisted by
Betsy Anderson (Farmington, MN/Farmington), who netted her second goal of the season at the 2:10 minute mark. The Cobbers evened the score at 7:20 and would go on to score two more unanswered goals to go up 3-1 in the second period.
UW-Stevens Point fought its way back with Anderson recording her first goal of the season to bring UWSP back within one goal on the power play. Lester scored again before time expired in the second period to even the score 3-3 after the Pointers killed off an extended 5-on-3.
In the third period, Reynard scored the go-ahead goal early at the 2:07 minute mark before Westmark's last-gasp goal sent the game to an extra five minutes.
Concordia-Moorhead outshot UW-Stevens Point 35-29 in the game. Conley earned her second win of the season by making 31 saves, while Brittany Boss stopped 24 shots for the Cobbers.
UW-Stevens Point looks to continue its unbeaten start to the season against No. 6 UW-River Falls in a weekend series on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14. Game one is set for 7 p.m. on Friday evening.
