The goal was the first of Harper's career and came off an assist by Shauna Bollinger (Menomonie, WI/Menomonie). With the win, UW-Stevens Point improves to 2-0, while St. Olaf drops to 0-2 with the loss.

Picking up where they left off last night, the Pointers brought the offensive attack heavy and early, scoring three goals in the first period alone. Three different Pointers contributed towards the early 3-0 lead.

The Oles wouldn't go down quietly, however, netting two goals in the second period. Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) scored her second goal of the game to put the Pointers back up by two goals before the end of the second period.

St. Olaf took advantage of the six penalties committed by UW-Stevens Point, going 3-for-6 on the power play. One of those power-play goals came from KiKi Platek at the 4:32 mark of the third period to bring her team within a goal.

With 1:40 left in regulation, Jane Vezina tied the game up with another power-play goal for the Oles.

Freshman goaltender Sydney Conley (South St. Paul, MN/South St. Paul) started her first collegiate game and earned the victory by making 23 saves. Cassie Alexander took the loss despite making 34 saves for St. Olaf.

UW-Stevens Point returns to action for a two-game series against Concordia-Moorhead starting Friday, Nov. 6 at Ice Hawks Arena. Friday's game is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
