STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Three power play goals by visiting Adrian College was too much to overcome on Saturday evening as the fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team fell to the fourth-ranked Bulldogs 6-4.

Andrew Kolb (Toledo, OH/Toledo Catholic) put UWSP on the board 3:03 into the game.
The Bulldogs responded on the power play just over three minutes later, knotting the score at 1-1.
Scott Henegar (Trenton, MI/Trenton) put the Pointers back in front midway through the second period, sending home an
Alex Brooks (Grand Rapids, MI) assist to give UWSP the 2-1 lead.
The Bulldogs responded with three goals over the next five minutes, two on the power play, to take a 4-2 lead into the second intermission.
In the third, the Pointers rallied with two goals over the first eight minutes, one from
Joe Kalisz (Davison, MI/Davison) and another from
Kyle Sharkey (Moore, OK/Insight School of Kansas), to tie the game at 4-4.
Adrian scored the go-ahead goal just four minutes later and added an empty-netter in the final minute to skate away with the 6-4 victory.
Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, MN/Champlin Park) tallied15 saves in net while Adrian's Scott Shackell notched 33 saves in net to earn the victory.
UW-Stevens Point (5-2) and Adrian (8-0) will face each other again after the Thanksgiving break, when the Pointers head east to Adrian, Mich. to take on the Bulldogs on Nov. 29. Game time from Arrington Ice Arena is set for 6 p.m. central.
