Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's hockey team showcased its high-powered offense on Saturday night, erupting for 11 goals as the Pointers completed the weekend sweep of the Lions of Finlandia University.

Garrett Ladd (Fenton, MI/Fenton) and Evan Dixon (Novi, MI/) tallied two goals apiece and Eliot Grauer (Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak) tallied three points (one goal, two assists) as UW-Stevens Point took 58 shots on target.

A stingy Pointers defense allowed just nine shots on goal, but newcomer Spencer Viele (Wildwood, MO/Lafayette) stopped all nine to record a shutout in his UWSP debut.

For the weekend, Ladd finished with four goals while Lawrence Cornelier and Dixon each tallied two.

UW-Stevens Point (2-0-0) returns to action Nov. 8 and 9, hosting Gustavus Adolphus on Friday evening and St.Olaf on Saturday night. Action both nights is scheduled for 7 p.m. from K.B. Willett Arena.
