Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, MN/Champlin Park) tallied 30 saves in net and the high-powered UW-Stevens Point offense tallied three goals as the No. 5 Pointers men's hockey team tallied a 3-0 win over the previously undefeated Tommies Friday evening at the St. Thomas Ice Arena.

UW-Stevens Point (5-0) scored 3:16 into the game's second period when
Nick D'Avolio (North Riverside, IL/) tallied his third goal of the season off assists from
Kyle Politz (Apple Valley, MN/Apple Valley) and
Alex Kromm (Penticton, BC/).
UWSP went in front 2-0 at the 18:01 mark of the second period when
Kyle Heck (Plover, WI/SPASH) scored his second of the season.
At the 12:20 mark of the third,
Alex Brooks (Grand Rapids, MI/) tallied his first goal of the season off a
Scott Henegar (Trenton, MI/Trenton) assist, his second of the game.
Jaeger's 29 saves secured the first of the season for the senior netminder and the second of the season for UWSP.
The Pointers return to action Saturday evening in Winona, Minn., where they take on St. Mary's in a 7 p.m. contest at SMU Ice Arena.
