KENOSHA – The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team collected 239.5 team points en route to a first place finish at the Tadd Metzger Invite at Carthage College on Saturday.
The Pointers posted 11 first-place finishes in the year's second meet.
Top finishers included
Keith Ingram (Milwaukee, WI/Riverside) in the 55m dash with a time of 6.42,
Mike Dellemann (Oregon/Oregon) and Keith Dismuske finish 1-2 in the men's 55m hurdles and
Tim Thornburg (Delafield/Kettle Moraine) and
Terry Witkowski (Wales/Kettle Moraine) finishing 1-2 in men's one mile run.
Elsewhere,
Zach Scott-Keyser (Rockford, IL/Rockford Jefferson) finished first in the 400m dash with a time of 51.39,
Greg Haak (Belleville/Belleville) finished first in the 600m run with a time of 1:23.11,
Jason Lisowe (Chilton/Chilton) finished first in the 800m run,
Adam Duckart (Denmark/Denmark) finished first in the 1000m run with a time of 2:36.91 and
Keith Ingram (Milwaukee, WI/Riverside) finished first in the 200m dash with a time of 22.54.
Dominick Meyer (Beloit/Memorial),
Adam Steinke (Hewitt/Marshfield),
Cory Towle (Waukesha/South),
Derek Nechuta (Mosinee/Mosinee) and
Travis Nechuta (Mosinee/Mosinee) finished 1-5 in the 3000m run,
Derek Stone (Belvidere, IL/Belvidere) and
Jake Koss (Holmen/Melrose-Mindoro) finish 1-2 in the men's high jump, both clearing 1.98m and
Mark Cufaude (Evansville/Evansville) finished first in the men's pole vault, clearing 4.57m.
The Pointers return to action next week Friday and Saturday when they host the Pointers Invitational at the Multi-Activity Center in Stevens Point.
