STEVENS POINT - UW-Stevens Point used one goal in each of the first two periods and two in the third to fight past the visiting Oles of St. Olaf 4-2 in non-conference action on Saturday evening.

The win by the Pointers is their second straight and snaps a seven-game unbeaten streak by the Oles.
Taylor Guay (Boulder, CO/Boulder) (Boulder, Colo.) tallied the Pointers first goal at the 13:33 mark in the first period off a Brett Beckfeld (Plymouth, MN/Armstrong) (Plymouth, Minn.) pass, giving UWSP the early advantage.

In the second, St. Olaf's Charlie Raskob tied the score at one at the 12 minute mark, scoring off a Devin Mitkorski and Dylan Mueller passes,

Jonathan Ralph (Chester, NJ/Shattuck St. Mary's) (Chester, N.J.) broke the 1-1 tie just before the end of the second, scoring unassisted and Garrett Suter (Madison/Oregon) (Madison) added another goal nine minutes into the third to give the Pointers a 3-1 advantage in the game's final period.

St. Olaf's Isak Tranvik put the Oles back within one with at the 12:06 mark but UWSP's leading scorer Jon Madden (Brighton, MI/Howell) (Brighton, Mich.) added an empty net goal with :42 remaining to seal the victory for the Pointers.

UW-Stevens Point improves to 10-5-0 overall while St. Olaf falls to 8-3-1.
