The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team finished the weekend 2-2, defeating Lake Forest and Judson at the Wheaton (Ill.) tournament on Friday and Saturday.
In their first match, the Pointers defeated Lake Forest 3-1. After dropping the first set 25-19, the Pointers stormed back to take the second 25-16. The third set was a battle between both teams, but the Pointers came out on top 28-26. They finished off Lake Forest 25-22 in the final set.
The Pointers swept Judson in the second match of the tournament 25-18, 25-22, 25-17. The Pointers then ran into the host of the tournament, Wheaton. The first two sets reflected an even battle as Wheaton took the first set 25-20, but Point took the second set 25-21. Intensity picked up as Wheaton squeaked by with the third set 27-25. Wheaton went on to take the match, defeating the Pointers in the final set 25-16.
The Pointers faced Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Saturday afternoon in their final matchup of the tournament, falling in three games 25-10, 25-7, 25-15. The Pointers finished the tournament 2-2.

Jennifer Rueter (Burlington/Burlington) (Burlington) was named to the all-tournament team.
UWSP returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they travel to UW-Oshkosh for a 7 p.m. match-up with the Titans.
