MEQUON – Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) (Oakfield) finished seventh and Ashley Woest (Abrams/Pulaski) (Abrams) finished eighth as the UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team finished second at the Concordia (Wis.) Invitational Saturday afternoon, one point away from first place.

Roberts finished with a time of 23:51.50 and Woest finished just behind with a time of 23:53.60.

Elsewhere, Allison Wolter (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) (Kaukauna) finished ninth, Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) (Kaukauna) finished 10th, and Sandy Hause (Bruce/Bruce) (Bruce) finished 14th.

The Pointers return to action next weekend, Sept. 27 when they participate at the Beloit Invitational.
