MOOREHEAD, Minn. - The UWSP volleyball earned their first win of the 2008 season on Friday evening, defeating the Saints of Presentation College (S.D.) 3-0 in the second game of the Concordia (Minn.) tournament. 

The Pointers won their three sets 25-7, 25-22, 26-24. 

Michaela Rheineck (St. Paul, MN/Mounds View) (Fr., St. Paul, Minn.) led the way in game two for the Pointers, recording nine kills, four aces and four digs in the winning effort. Jasmine Johnson (Appleton/East) (So., Appleton/East) and Pamela Nora (Jr., Forest Lake, Minn.) each added eight kills in the winning effort while Chantel York (Lake Geneva/Badger) (Fr., Lake Geneva/Badger) added 19 assists.

Rheineck and Nora were also named to the All-Tournament team. 

UWSP (1-1) returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 2 when they travel to Viterbo University in La Crosse for a triangular with Viterbo and St. Mary's.
