ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Dom Meyer (Beloit) finished fifth and Cory Towle (Waukesha/South) (Waukesha) finished in ninth to pace the UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team to a third place finish at the 2008 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course in Illinois.

Meyer's 25:00.7 time was just :26.4 off the pace of first place finisher Brandon Mull of Wheaton (Ill.).
Elsewhere, Joel Heroux (Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol) (Sturgeon Bay) finished 20th with a time of 25:17.8, Brandon Dworak (Denmark/Denmark) (Denmark) finished 22nd (25:19.8) and Phil Richert (Andover, MN/Andover) (Andover, Minn.) finished 27th (25:26.1) as the Pointers finished with 83 points.

North Central (Ill.) finished first while UW-La Crosse finished second.
