STEVENS POINT - UW-Stevens Point tallied three first period goals and four second period goals as the Pointers cruised to a 9-0 Northern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Saturday evening over Finalandia University.

Erin Marvin (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) (Shoreview, Minn.), Trish Piskula (Antigo/Antigo) (Antigo) and Dana Carothers (Burnsville, MN/Burnsville) (Burnsville, Minn.) all tallied goals in the game's first period to give the Pointers the early 3-0 lead after the first period.

In the second period, Piskula, Kellye Nelson (Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) (Lino Lakes, Minn.), Erika Greenen (Naperville, IL/Central) (Naperville, Ill.) and Sarah Phillips (Kelowna, B.C./St. George's School (RI)) (Kelowna, B.C.) all scored goals as the Pointers pulled ahead to a 7-0 lead.

In the third, Carothers added a pair of goals for her first career hat trick to give the Pointers the 9-0 victory, their first of the young season and first in NCHA play.

UWSP (1-0-1, 1-0 NCHA) will host Finlandia (0-5-0, 0-2 NCHA) in the final game of the two-game weekend series on Nov. 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Ice Hawks Arena.
