Women Win, Men Have 49-Match WIAC Streak End

UW-Stevens Point's women's swimming and diving team earned a dual meet victory over rival UW-La Crosse on Saturday, but the men's team wasn't as fortunate, suffering its first conference dual loss since 1995.

The women posted a 136-107 victory, while the men lost 140-103. It marked the men's first loss since a 122.5-120.5 setback to UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 3, 1995.

Kelsey Crunstedt had a big day for the women, claiming two individual events and joining Jerica Crook, Beth Bard and Caitlin Hake on the victorious 400-yard freestyle relay team in 3:36.34. Crunstedt also won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.79 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 54.15 seconds. Crook captured the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.56.
