Rammer Leads Women's Cross Country at Minnesota

Sara Rammer (Plymouth/Plymouth) finished 33rd overall among 567 competitors as the UW-Stevens Point women's cross country team placed 15th in the team standings at Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis.

Rammer posted a time of 24:02 over the 6,000-meter course as the Pointers totaled 358 team points. UW-Stevens Point finished just three points behind the 13th place team in the 42-team field. Washington (Mo.) won the meet with 89 points.

Hannah Dieringer (Spencer/Spencer) was second for the Pointers with a time of 24:14 to finish 43rd overall. Allison Wolter (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) was 81st in 24:46 and Erica Claas was eight seconds back to finish 93rd. Ashley Woest (Abrams/Pulaski) ran 25:13 to beat out teammate Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) by one second and finish 128th overall.
