UW-Stevens Point placed five of the top six finishers and cruised to the team title at the Concordia University Invitational on Saturday in Mequon.
Hannah Dieringer (Spencer/Spencer) won the individual title in a time of 23:13 for her first career individual win. The Pointers' next four finishers all placed within 21 seconds of each other as Ashley Woest (Abrams/Pulaski) was third in 24:07, Allison Wolter (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) was fourth in 24:12, Kimberly Multerer (West Bend/West Bend West) was fifth in 24:20 and Erica Claas placed sixth in 24:28. Overall, UW-Stevens Point had 10 of the top 13 finishers in the event.
The Pointers nearly had a perfect team score, totaling 19 points to easily outscore second-place UW-Oshkosh, which had 68 points.
