Solid Pitching Leads Pointers to Sweep in Florida

Anderson threw a four-hitter with eight strikeouts in a 3-2 win over Wellesley (Mass.) and Krause scattered 10 hits in a 4-2 victory over Washington & Jefferson (Pa.). The Pointers are now 4-2 on their spring trip and 6-2 overall for the season.

Chelsea McIlquham (Sun Prairie/Sun Prairie) drove home two runs in the opening game. McIlquham and Mandy Jellish (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) each had run-scoring singles in a two-run third inning and she added a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning.
