UW-Stevens Point traded a pair of non-conference volleyball sweeps on Wednesday, rolling over St. Mary's and losing to Viterbo in a quadrangular in La Crosse.

The Pointers topped St. Mary's 30-23, 30-9, 30-28 in the opening match and then fell to Viterbo 30-20, 30-19, 30-19 to push their record to 4-2 for the season.

Shelly Maus (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) had 12 kills and five blocks, while Lori Marten (Pittsville/Pittsville) added 11 kills and 15 digs in the win over St. Mary's. Callie Kunde (Burnsville, Minn./Apple Valley) totaled 24 assists and Alyssa Derynda (Pewaukee/Catholic Memorial) served four aces.

Kunde was the top performer against Viterbo in nearly every category with eight kills, 11 assists and two aces. Amanda Mix (Brookfield/East) added a team-high 13 digs.

The Pointers will take part in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Bloomington, Ill.
