UW-Stevens Point wrapped up its Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis regular season with a 9-0 loss to UW-La Crosse on Saturday in La Crosse.
The Pointers lost all six singles matches in straight sets with
Emily Bouche (Dane/Sauk Prairie) at No. 2,
Mashell VerBockel (Appleton/Fox Valley Lutheran) at No. 4 and
Kaitlyn King (Plover/Stevens Point Pacelli) at No. 6 each winning four games in defeat.
UW-Stevens Point ends the WIAC season with a 1-6 record and is now 2-9 entering its final non-conference match next weekend at Beloit. Monday's scheduled home match with Edgewood has been cancelled.
