Freshman Pascavis and Team Lead After Day One

The fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point women's golf team leads by 14 strokes after the first day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament over UW-Oshkosh. The Pointers shot a combined score of 327.

Freshman Michelle Pascavis (Waukesha/South) is the clubhouse leader after shooting an opening round of 77. Amanda Dlugopolski (Appleton/East) is tied for third place with a 81. Jessica Urban (Hartland/Arrowhead) shot an opening round of 82 putting her in fourth place while Amy Stiloski (Brookfield/Central) sits in fifth after shooting an 83. Sarah Mosher (Evansville/Evansville) shot a 85 putting her in sixth place going into the final round.

If the Pointers win the team title it will give them an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament in May. The WIAC tournament concludes tomorrow.
