The UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team won the Ripon Invite by eight seconds over host Ripon College with a total time of 2:19:14 on Saturday morning in Ripon.

Six Pointer runners placed in the top 10. Leading the way was fourth place finisher Josh Shaffer with a time of 27:31.70. Shaffer edged out teammate Brandon  Dworak by three seconds. 

Cory Baumann (Marathon/Marathon) was sixth overall in 27:56 while Adam Lang (Sheboygan/Sheboygan Lutheran) finished seventh with a  28:02.  Zach Bitter (Manitowoc/Lutheran) finished eighth overall with a 28:06 and Sean Hasenstein (Sheboygan/Sheboygan Lutheran) was four seconds behing coming in ninth.
