Box Score The UW-Stevens Point soccer team was on a mission on Saturday afternoon. The Pointers' offense erupted for a season high 10 goals in a 10-0 defeat over UW-Superior.
The Yellowjackets were no match for the Pointers who scored early and often. The Pointers got the scoring underway when Liz Kidd (Shorewood/Shorewood) blasted a shot past the Yellowjackets goalie Emily Cochran at the 10:14 mark.
Junior forward Amanda Prawat (Oregon/Oregon) led the Pointers with three goals and two assists. Kaylee Weise (Brookfield/East) contributed two goals and on assist to the Pointers effort. Also scoring goals for the Pointers was Emily Walsh (Waunakee/Waunakee), Vicki Bieschke (Oconomowoc/Waukesha Memorial), Katie Webber (Reedsburg/Reedsburg) and Mary Jean Cornelius (West Bend/West).
UW-Stevens Point had 32 shots including 20 of which were on goal. Prawat now has 12 goals and eight assists on the year. Weise has 13 goals and six assists on season.
Over the 15 year history between these two teams the Pointers are 17-0 and have outscored the Yellowjackets 172-3. The Pointers have also scored 10 or more goals against the Yellowjackets in nine of those seventeen games.
