Peters led UW-Stevens Point to a second-place finish at the Border Battle meet on Friday and Saturday. Individually, Peters won the 200 IM (1:59.16), the 100 free (47.56) and the 200 free (1:44.80). He was also part of four top-two relays, including wins in the 400 medley relay (3:32.22) and the 200 free relay (1:26.16).
