Freshman Dennis Haak (Belleville, WI/Belleville) was the recipient of the Male Freshman Individual Sport Athlete of the Year award. Haak competed as a member of the cross country and track & field teams in his first season with the Pointers. He was the top freshman finisher for the Pointers at both the conference championship and the NCAA Regional cross country meet. In track, Haak was a member of the national runner-up distance medley relay team that ran in the fastest finals in Division III history.
