Grimstad compiled a dominant weekend at the annual Point Invite, tallying six total first place finishes including relays. On Friday, he took tacked on first-place finishes in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:57.73 and in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.85. He also added a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:26.58. On Saturday, Grimstad continued his strong weekend with another first-place finish, winning the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.04. In the relays, Grimstad was a part of two additional wins in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:35.29 and in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:12.02.

Other nominees
Zach Meyers (Volleyball)
Meyers aided in the Pointers first program victory in their first bout against Lakeland. He compiled one of the programs first double-doubles with team highs of 14 kills and 13 digs. Meyers also added six kills against Edgewood.

Alex Proctor (Hockey)
Proctor went 2-0-0 in a weekend sweep at UW-River Falls. He posted a .925 saves percentage with 49 saves over 110:10 of action to earn the two wins. He now has a league-best 12 wins on the year.

Riese Thornberry (Wrestling)
Thornberry earned a win by fall in the third period (6:28) at 149 as the Pointers won a dual at Carthage on Thursday.

Austin Rennhack (Track & Field)
Rennhack won the shot put at the Pointer Alumni meet with a new personal best of 15.69 meters.  That is currently the fifth best mark in the conference and 24th nationally. 

Braedon Gilles (Track & Field)
Gilles took two first-place finishes between two meets. At the Pointer Alumni Open, he managed a win in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:23.71, aiding in the Pointers team placement of first. At the WIAC Tri, Gilles posted a personal-best time of 4:17.75 in the mile run to take first. His time in the mile is currently fourth best in the conference and 26th nationally.

Declan Trant (Swimming & Diving)
Trant continued his impressive freshman season with a second-place finish in the 3-meter dive at the Point Invite with a score of 416.65.
