Whitethorn took all five matches in the 130 bracket at the 8-Women Battle on Saturday. She won three matches by tech fall and two by fall.

Rachel Krouse (Cross Country)
Krouse placed 55th at the 2023 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday.In her third consecutive appearance, Krouse posted her best finish at the National Championships with a 55th-place finish. She came within three milliseconds from tying her best mark at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, clocking a time of 22:05.8.
Hannah Scherwinski (Swimming)
Scherwinski led the Pointers efforts for the women with three first-place finishes against UW-Whitewater. She took first in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle and 400-yard IM with respective times of 2:06.09, 5:32.82 and 5:08.08.
Abby Hopfensperger (Diving)
Hopfensperger added two first-place finishes to her resume against UW-Whitewater. She won the 1-meter dive with a score of 240.95 and took the 3-meter dive with a score of 244.15.
Courtney Leising (Hockey)
Leising scored three goals and had two assists on UWSP’s six goals last week. On Tuesday, She had a two-goal, two-assist performance to lead the Pointers to a road win at St. Norbert. Her four points were a career-high. Then on Saturday, Leising scored another goal to give UWSP a 1-0 lead after one against UW-Superior.
Josie Nies (Basketball)
Nies posted a game-high 17 points as the Pointers beat St. Scholastica on the road Saturday. She was 7-of-11 from the floor and spearheaded a strong defensive effort as the Pointers improved to 3-0. She added two rebounds, two blocks, two steals and one assist.
