Collins recorded her third and fourth double-doubles of the year in UWSP’s series against UW-River Falls last week.  She poured in 21 points and 12 rebounds in the Pointers’ victory in River Falls on Wednesday.  Then in the home finale on Friday, Collins added 19 points and career-high 15 rebounds.  For the week, she had three blocks and two steals.

Abby Hopfensperger, Women's Diving
Hopfensperger won both the one- and three-meter diving events with scores of 243.75 and 237.55, respectively.

Laina Berthiaume, Women's Hockey
Berthiaume had a breakout game offensively in the Pointers victory at Northland on Saturday.  She notched her first career point with an assist on a power-play goal early in the second period.  Later in the period, she netted her first career goal with sister Emma getting one of the assists.  She closed out her three-point game with another assist in the third period.

Sammy Buerger, Softball
Buerger drove in six of UWSP’s 11 runs in the sweep at the MMU Collegiate Slugger Series on Friday.  In game one’s win over Wisconsin Lutheran, she hit a first inning sac fly to give UWSP a 1-0 lead.  In game two against Concordia University Chicago, she hit another first inning sac fly for another 1-0 lead.  In the third inning, her sac bunt led to a two-run inning.  Then in the sixth inning, she belted a grad slam to help the Pointers win in run-rule fashion.  Her 5 RBI in game 2 was a career high.
 

Makenna Tkach, Softball
Tkach was lights on yet again in the circle for the Pointers.  She pitched 5.2 innings to earn her second win of the year against Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday.  After pitching the first five innings, she reentered with the bases loaded in the seventh.  She struck out the final two hitters to secure the win.  Tkach struck out six in the game and continues to have more strikeouts (15) than innings pitched this season (13.1).
 

Anna Pilecky, Women's Swimming
Pilecky continued to dominate the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle events. She won the 1000-yard freestyle yet again posting a time of 10:43.91, nearly 30 seconds faster than second place.  She also finished 15 seconds faster than the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:20.38.
