University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Walker-Daniels set a new lifetime best in the triple jump to open her sophomore campaign.  Her jump of 11.45 meters is currently the best mark in the WIAC and the sixth-best nationally.

Maddie Taylor, Swimming

Taylor earned a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:19.38, finishing more than a second before the next swimmer in the dual meet against UW-La Crosse this weekend.  She earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.47. Taylor also served as the second swimmer in the third place 200-yard medley relay team swimming a time of 32.70. 

Bailee Collins, Women's Basketball

Collins averaged 19 points per game and shot better than 50 percent from the field in UWSP’s two league games last week.  She scored 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor at UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday.  On Saturday, she also scored 19 points with seven made field goals and grabbed eight rebounds in UWSP’s comeback win at UW-Stout.  For the week, she added two blocks, a steal and an assist.
