Braun dominantly won both the one- and three-meter diving events at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.  She was the only diver to score above 200 in the one-meter event with a score of 274.05.  In the three-meter dive, she scored a 261.95 to win by nearly 50 points.

Other Nominees: 

Jacob Aegerter: 
Aegerter picked up a pair of first-place finishes at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday in the 200-yard fly and 200-yard IM.  In the 200-yard butterfly, he finished with a time of 2:00.01.  In the 200-yard IM, he finished with a time of 2:01.83.  Aegerter was also a part of the third-place 200-yard freestyle relay team, where he finished with a time of 1:29.52. 

Anna O'Malley: In her first career meet, O’Malley won two of the three events she competed in.  She was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay that posted a time of 1:56.23.  As an individual, she won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:18.45.  In her other event, she helped the 200-yard freestyle relay to a second-place finish, just over a second behind the winning team.

Tyler Tanko: Tanko finished second at the Oshkosh Open in a time of 27:23 to help lead his men’s team to the meet victory. 

Makani Peters: Peters finished second at the Oshkosh Open in at personal best time of 25:43 to help lead the UWSP women’s team to victory.

Sarah Peplinski: Peplinski made a season-high nine saves in a shutout of UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday.  She made seven more in the Pointers’ match at UW-River Falls on Saturday.  In the week’s finale against Edgewood on Sunday, she made one save in 70:31 of action without a goal against.  She lowered her season goals against average to 0.77.

Olivia Bohnert: Bohnert scored her first goal of the season, an unassisted tally, in UWSP’s win over Edgewood on Sunday.  She added an assist in the second half to help seal the win.

Kendra Kundinger: Kundinger’s consistency remained intact as she recorded double-digit digs in all three matches for UWSP last week.  She has had 10 or more digs in 20-straight matches and 30 of 31 matches on the year.  She had 19 digs against Bates in a five-set victory and had 20 more in a four-set win over No. 22 Texas-Dallas.  Kundinger averaged 5.10 digs per set over the week and continues to lead the WIAC in digs this season.

April Gehl: Gehl set a career-high with 27 kills in a five-set victory over Bates College on Friday.  She recorded a double-double in both wins on the week and has a double-double in 12 of the last 15 matches.  In addition to her career-best in kills, she was one dig shy of tying her season-high with 20 in the win over the Bobcats.  Her double-double against No. 22 Texas-Dallas included 18 kills and 12 digs.  Gehl also led the Pointers in kills in Saturday’s match against Carthage.  On the week, she averaged 4.58 kills and 3.00 digs per set played.  She also had four aces, four assists and a pair of blocks.

Matt Taborn: Taborn converted all three kicks in his first action of the season.  He put both point-after attempts through the uprights and kicked a 30-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to pull the Pointers within one score.

Blake Lehman: Lehman forced a fumble and had five solo tackles in UWSP’s game at UW-Stout on Saturday.  He was also credited with a pass break up.  His five solo tackles were a season-high.

Steve Herra: Herra reeled in a pair of touchdown catches, his second time with two receiving touchdowns this season.  Both of his TD receptions put the Pointers ahead in the first half.  His first touchdown catch was a 22-yard reception, his longest of the day.  Herra totaled eight catches for 109 yards to lead the Pointers’ offense.
