Popham raised his season average more than 30 points with a big offensive weekend to wrap up conference play. He had eight hits over the four-game series against UW-Stout, including back-to-back three hits performances in the sweep on Saturday. In the opening game of the series, he hit a run-scoring triple in a tide-turning inning. On Saturday, he scored twice in the opening game and drove in a run, accounting for three of the four tallies by UWSP. In the series finale, he scored in the sixth inning to put the Pointers in front. For the week, he hit .500, stole a base, drove in two, scored three runs and had a perfect fielding series on 27 chances that included five double plays.
