University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Ashley Averkamp, junior (New Berlin, Wis. / New Berlin), kept the Pointers undefeated in the conference with two wins this past week.  At UW-Eau Claire Averkamp was 4-8 from the floor and grabbed three defensive rebounds in 23 minutes of playing time in the Pointer win.  Traveling to UW-Oshkosh, Averkamp scored in double digits for the third straight game with 14 points.  Averkamp shot 60% from the field including a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc.  Averkamp also had another three rebound game in the Pointer 18 point win.  Averkamp has started all 18 games of the season and leads the Pointers in blocks.
