University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Romano rejoined the Pointers Athletics department in 2022-23. He will oversee athletic fundraising and major gift cultivation. He has already played a major part in the enhancements of the Eddie Kotal Field and overall turf project just north of Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall. 
 
The native of Waunakee, Wis., is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business (2005) while earning multiple WIAC All-Conference football awards during his four years as a student-athlete. In 2007, Romano earned an MBA from Concordia University Wisconsin during his stint as a member of Concordia’s athletics administration and football staff. He and his wife, Kelly, currently reside in Stevens Point along with their daughters, Charley and Reese.
