Bohn enters his 10th season at UWSP in 2025-26. In his first nine years, he has been the athletics department's media relations coordinator for a department that expanded from 20 to 26 sports. In 2019, he hosted the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship at K.B. Willett Arena, a historic season that saw the Pointers capture the title with the first-ever unbeaten season in DIII history.
In 2022 and 2023, he was charged with hosting the Division III NCAA Tournament baseball regionals at Zimmermann Field. During his tenure at UWSP, he has hosted NCAA Tournament men's hockey games three seasons, including the longest game in program history in 2023. He has hosted WIAC Championships in track and field, wrestling, men's basketball, baseball, cross country and men's hockey and WIAC Tournament games in women's hockey, softball, women's soccer, women's volleyball and women's basketball.
During his nine seasons at UWSP, Bohn has had former students or assistants move on to positions at Major League Baseball, Carroll University, MSOE, Coastal Georgia, Murray State, Saint Mary's, Washington & Jefferson and AAU.
Originally from Wautoma, Wis., he joined the staff at UWSP in August 2016 after eight years at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. He is a 2006 cum laude honors graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill., with an undergraduate degree in communications with an emphasis in media. He earned his master's in sport management at NIU in May 2008. He was named the NIU Communications Studies Outstanding Major in 2006 and later earned the Graduate Student Service to PRSSA Award in 2007.
Proficient in graphic design, web technology and web software, his primary responsibilities at Missouri State were oversight and expansion of web applications for the University's athletics web site. He also spearheaded MSU's online game day video streaming initiative and assisted Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications Rick Kindhart in the expansion of the web presence for MSU's 16 intercollegiate programs. During his time at Missouri State, Bohn was twice the recipient of the CoSIDA Publication Contest Best in the Nation Award.
Bohn worked for the Major League Soccer franchise Chicago Fire in the spring of 2008, handling a large portion of the team's media relations, publications and communications duties. He has additional collegiate sports information experience at NIU where he was a student assistant from 2005-07 and worked with several sports programs.
Tim and his wife, Andrea, have two children, Devin and Coralyn.
