Coach Davy returns to UWSP in 2026. An alum of the program and Stevens Point native, he grew up swimming at the Stevens Point YMCA under a long list of legendary Pointer alums, especially Justin Stoffel, who later worked with Coach Boelk to recruit Davy to stay in town and swim at UWSP.

In his career, Davy has coached collegiate, high school, USA and YMCA swimming programs for 14 years. He has been part of coaching staffs that mentored three Olympians, NCAA Champions, National Age Group record holders, National High School record holders and a High School National Champion. Most recently, he worked at Swarthmore College outside of Philadelphia.

After joining Swarthmore College in the fall of 2017, the program experienced unprecedented success. On the men’s side, they finished 2026 with their highest team finish in program history at the NCAA Championships. Senior Cami Wilson finished 3rd in the 100 butterfly, with the number ten time in the history of the division, and the team finished with a program high three All-American relay performances. Over the previous nine years and eight seasons, the men captured five Centennial Conference titles as the premier program in the conference.

On the women’s side, they experienced individual, relay and team achievements unseen in the program's history. The NCAA Championships are highlighted by 11th, 10th and 9th place team finishes from 2024-2026. The Garnet women are one of a handful of teams to have scored in all five relays at the NCAA Championships, having done so in 2025. Individually, Davy mentored Genine Collins to runner-up finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyle at the 2026 NCAA Championships, with Collins posting the third fastest time in DIII swimming history in the 50. At the conference level, the Garnet women dominated. They are in the midst of five consecutive conference title victories and a 44 meet winning streak in conference dual meets dating back to the fall of 2018.

Academically, the team earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors every semester, with the top GPA in DIII Men’s Swimming in the fall of 2019. Additionally, five times a Swat swimmer has taken home Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In total, over 200 Swat swimmers were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, 90 earned Academic All-Centennial and 28 were recognized as PhillySIDA Academic All-Area.

Before joining the Garnet, Davy was on staff at the University of Tennessee and The Ohio State University. As a collegiate swimmer at the UWSP he earned 16 All American honors and was team captain. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in health promotion and wellness from UWSP and a masters in sport management from the University of Tennessee.

Davy currently resides in Stevens Point with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, Brooks and Beatrice.
