Drango comes to UWSP after a season on the coaching staff at Walla Walla University. There, she assisted with practice planning, game strategy and player development. She also has coaching experience at the high school and youth levels.

As a player, Drango played five seasons at Whitman College helping the Blues win the Northwest Conference Championship four times. She played in the NCAA Tournament with Whitman in 2022, 2023 and 2025. In 2023, she played in the first-ever triple overtime NCAA Tournament game, a win over UW-Eau Claire. She earned her degree from Whitman College in May 2025.
