UW-Stevens Point’s all-time winningest wrestler, Yan White is in his ninth season on the coaching staff.

White spent six seasons as the team’s head assistant and one year as a student assistant before moving into a part-time role.

White is one of two wrestlers in school history to compete in the national championship match three straight years, winning the title in 2001 and finishing runner-up the following two years. White was a three-time WIAC champion and compiled a 103-15 career record for the best winning percentage in school history. He was the WIAC Outstanding Wrestler of the meet in 2001 and 2002.

An Antigo native, White was UW-Stevens Point’s Male Athlete of the Year in an individual sport in 2001 and 2003. White lives in Plover with his wife, Tori, and son Trig.
