University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Hermsen is in his first season as an assistant coach at UWSP.  As an athlete at UWSP, he won a National Championship at 165 in 2016 and 2017.  In 2016-17, he went 35-2, the third-best season in program history.  During his four year career, Hermsen racked up 107 wins, ninth-most in school history.  Hermsen won the 2017 WIAC title at 165 and in 2016, was runner-up.  A native of Amherst, Wis., he was named the WIAC Wrestler of the Year in 2015-16 going 30-6 on the season.
