Wozniak is in his 15th season as the head assistant for the UWSP men's wrestling program in 2025-26. This is his 17th year as an assistant overall. He begins his fourth year serving as the Head Women’s Wrestling coach, being the assistant since their inception in 2019.
Wozniak coached eight women's wrestlers to the NCWWCÂ championships in 2024-25. He coached 12 NWCA Scholar All-Americans and his team had the sixth-best GPA among NWCA women's programs.
In 2023-24, Wozniak led eight women's wrestlers to nationals, including All-American wrestlers Ngao Shoua Whitethorn and Abby Nelson. Whitethorn placed sixth at 130 and Nelson eighth at 116.
In his first season, Wozniak coached 11 women's wrestlers to nationals, including All-American Rose Ann Marshall, who finished seventh at 116.Â
In his time at UWSP, he has seen the Pointers earn 15 All-America honors and three individual national championships.
A four-year letterwinner for the Pointers, Wozniak turned in the most impressive season of his career in his final season at 165 pounds, boasting a 34-6 record on his way to qualifying for his second NCAA Championship. Wozniak was the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) champion at 165 pounds and was named the championship’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
For his career, Wozniak tallied 78 wins including 20-plus wins his last two seasons. The native of Stanley, Wis., was also a two-time state qualifier in high school, posting a career mark of 118-19 at Stanley-Boyd High School.
