Parsons is in her third season at UWSP in 2024-25. In 2023-24, she assisted the team in their first national ranking since 2016-17 after their red-hot 11-0 start to the season.

In 2022-23, she coached a pair of All-WIAC selections in Jamie Pfeifer and Alexa Thomson.

She came to UWSP from Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee. There she served as assistant women’s basketball coach and head junior varsity coach for the 2021-22 season after being a graduate assistant coach in 2020-21. She helped the Pioneers set a school record for made threes in a game and an upset win over the No. 4 team in the country. She coached two All-SAC players in 2021-22 and aided the team in leading the SAC in scoring defense.
 
In 2020-21, she was integral in helping Tusculum to its first-ever 10-0 start and an SAC Tournament Championship. The Pioneers made the first NCAA Tournament since 2011 and were ranked No. 18 in the final WBCA poll. Parsons coached three All-SAC players and an All-American.
 
On the court, Parsons was a four-year player and a senior captain at Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia. She earned All-SAA honorable mention laurels in 2017 and again in 2020. She was named to the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team in 2020 and was a SAA Academic Honor Roll selection from 2016 to 2020.  She completed her career ranked third in career three-point percentage and was in the top-10 in career points, assists, steals and three-pointers.
 
In March 2021, Parsons was one of 32 participants in the annual Women's Basketball Coaches Association "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. The workshop helps participants learn about the administrative side of coaching, recruiting, how to get hired, skill development, the importance of knowing the rules, and how to balance work and life.
 
Parsons attended the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in Orlando, Florida in 2019.
 
A native of Metairie, Louisiana, Parsons completed her master’s degree at Tusculum in May 2022. She earned a bachelor's degree in May 2020 from Berry College.
