Coach Penney brings more than 35 years of collegiate coaching to the UW-Stevens Point program. He will focus on developing the hurdlers and steeplechase athletes. 

During his coaching tenure, he has developed over 68 National qualifiers and of that group 28 earned All-American honors. In addition, his teams have earned USTFCCCA All-American honors, these qualities reflect his philosophy of academic and athletic success work in collaboration. 

He earned conference championship honors in the 400 intermediate hurdles and was a three time NCAA national qualifier. This background will give the athletes a source of knowledge and skill development. 

Coach Penney earned his undergraduate degree from Edinboro State University with a double major and masters degree from Ashland University. 

Craig resides in Plover, Wisconsin and is very excited to be a contributor to a highly successful national program.
