Opdahl joins the Pointers staff after her playing career that concluded with her most productive year at UWSP. In her senior season, she played in 34 games, batting .344, while recording seven stolen bases.
“To change a program, you need good people that have a passion for the program and want to see it be successful,” said Konitzer. “The amount of dedication and pride both Paige and Syd-O have shown for this program is invaluable. They may not have been able to experience the team success they wanted during their playing careers, but they are bound and determined to leave this program better than they found it. They want to help do that through coaching. We are lucky to have them.”
Opdahl is finishing her degree in chemical engineering. Her primary coaching duty will include working with infielders. She will also help with recruiting and game planning.
