Allen joins the Pointers staff after a decorated career as an outfielder for UWSP. She was a two-time All-WIAC award winner and is tied for the school record with 16 home runs in her career.
“To change a program, you need good people that have a passion for the program and want to see it be successful,” said Konitzer. “The amount of dedication and pride both Paige and Syd-O have shown for this program is invaluable. They may not have been able to experience the team success they wanted during their playing careers, but they are bound and determined to leave this program better than they found it. They want to help do that through coaching. We are lucky to have them.”
Allen graduated in December with a degree in early childhood education. Her primary coaching duty will include working with outfielders. She will also help with recruiting and game planning.
