Badalamenti enters his third season an assistant coach on head coach Tyler Krueger's staff in 2019-20.

He was on the coaching staff of the first unbeaten season in Division III men's hockey as the Pointers captured the program's sixth national championship in 2018-19. Badalamenti coached a pair of All-Americans in Connor Ryckman and Tanner Karty.  He helped to lead the Pointers to a program record 31-game unbeaten streak and the fewest goals allowed (46) in program history.

In his first season as an assistant, Badalamenti helped the Pointers reach the Frozen Four and saw Karty earn WIAC Player of the Year honors.

He suffered a career ending injury early into his sophomore season, breaking his neck three games into the 2015-2016 season. After making a full recovery he joined the coaching staff for the 2016-2017 season as a student assistant under Chris Brooks and current head coach Tyler Krueger.

He skated in six career games with one goal and two assists.Â
