Katie Kreuser was named head men's and women's golf coach at UW-Stevens Point in May 2022.
Kreuser (pronounced “CREW-sir”) has been entrenched in the golf scene in Central Wisconsin for over a decade and was the UWSP women’s assistant coach for the last eight seasons. She has been a Class A LPGA Golf Professional at SentryWorld since 2012 where she gave over 600 lessons a year among other duties.
In her time at SentryWorld, Kreuser has also served as the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Site Director and she was the Tournament Director for the U.S. Girls Junior Championship in 2018-19.
During her time as a UWSP assistant, Kreuser has aided the head coach with individual player practices, including instruction in the full swing, short game and mental game, along with recruit visits.
A native of Wausau, Kreuser played collegiately for Illinois State, where she was a three-year team captain for the Division I program and an all-conference performer. She led the Redbirds to a Missouri Valley Conference title in 2004 and 2005. While at ISU, the team was a two-time NCAA Tournament qualifier.
Kreuser received her bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in business administration from ISU in 2005. She and her husband, Scott, reside in Wausau with their sons, Max and Brooks.
