Taylor Lucas begins his first season as the offensive line coach for the Pointers in 2021. He came back to UWSP after spending the last three years at DII Saint Anselm. There, he was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.
While with the Hawks, he coached a pair of all-conference selections. He also helped Saint Anselm to its first three-game win streak in 2019, the first such streak in five years.
Prior to that, Lucas spent two years at Carroll University where he was an assistant football coach for tight ends and fullbacks. He also assisted the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
Lucas spent the spring semester of 2016 assisting the Pointers with game day operations while assisting the football staff.
He was a four-year starter on the offensive line for the Pointers from 2012 to 2015. Lucas was the first two-time Academic All-America selection in the UWSP football history, earning the honor in 2014 and 2015. He was a three-time recipient of Academic All-District laurels.
Lucas was a team captain for UWSP in 2015 after helping the Pointers’ offensive line pave the way for 14 rushing touchdowns in 2014. The Pointers were ranked and averaged 114.8 yards per game in 2014.
Lucas graduated from UWSP in December 2015 with a degree in business administration. He completed his MBA at Carroll in 2018.
