Scott Rice is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Pointers football team.

In 2012, Rice helped develop a talented group of tight ends and running backs. In 2013, Rice moves to the defensive side of the ball, working with the linebackers.

Rice has an extensive football coaching background, including successful head coaching stops at McFarland and Watertown High Schools. 

A native of McFarland, Wis., Rice earned his bachelor’s degree in communication education from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Rice is currently working on his master’s degree in school counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin.

Rice and his wife, Sandy, have two sons, Jacob and Joe, and reside in Stevens Point.
