Mike Heffernan is in his first season as offensive line coach with the Pointers. 

Prior to UWSP, Heffernan was a graduate assistant coach at Northern State University and a student assistant at Elmhurst. 

The Hawthorn Woods, Ill. native was an All-Conference defensive tackle at Elmhurst, where he played for three seasons.
