Janes enters his third season at UWSP in 2024 after playing five years at Northwood University. Four of those seasons were under head coach Nat Richter.
Since arriving at UWSP, Janes has been a part fo the coaching staff that has won two WIAC regular season and one WIAC Tournament championships. In 2022, the Pointers advanced to the DIII College World Series and in 2023 UWSP forced a decisive game in the NCAA Super Regionals.
While at NU, Janes was an every day starter on both conference championships. The team made the conference tournament all five year he was at Northwood.
Janes completed his career with 111 hits, including four home runs, he drove in 56 and had a fielding percentage of .986.
